Its location is well suited to exploring Kyoto’s Okazaki and eastern temple district, though being away from Kyoto Station and close to a main road creates some trade-offs. Dining is generally well regarded, but breakfast is consistently Western-style and may not suit guests seeking a Japanese morning meal.
